Ekta impressed by Evil director

Ekta Kapoor is known to work in super speed once she’s made up her mind about something. And so it is that the powerhouse diva quickly snapped up Bhushan Patel, the director of 1920: Evil Returns, to helm the sequel of Ragini MMS after seeing his recently released film. Industry sources say that Ekta was floored ever since she saw the promos of 1920: Evil Returns, and in a quick decision, decided to sign on Bhushan to direct Sunny Leone in Ragini MMS 2.
Her decision seemed to have been a good one when Bhushan’s film, although not a great grosser, managed to do fairly well at the box office. Balaji Productions’ Tanuj Garg admitted that at the time the decision was made, it seemed like a “leap of faith”, adding, “But we really liked the promos of 1920: Evil Returns. What started off as an experimental film, turned into a franchise.”
Bhushan too seems excited about the chance to work with Ekta and Balaji. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with Balaji,” he said.
