Fans in a tweet and sour mood

Captain Cool is facing the heat from all quarters, especially his fans. Ever since MSD led the team in England last summer, India have lost seven out of seven Tests in the two series. The Indian fan is livid and the Web is abuzz with fans’ reactions on Twitter.
thefakebuffoon tweets, So msg. from Team Dhoni is clear this time “itne paison me toh 2 hi din kaam hota hai, jyada se jyada 3 rakh lo
While, Nigel Britto tweets. Despite a slow over rate, MS Dhoni finished the test match in less than two and a half days. He truly is the new Rajnikanth..
Another under the belt tweet by Daddu G reads, With MS Dhoni trending worldwide... Americans must be thinking its a new version of MS Office and IbneBattuta writes, Kashmir is the best place for Dhoni. His mobile wont work, channels would avoid this place & he can sleep as long as he wants.
Former cricketer Atul Wassan assures that a sportsperson understands his fans’ extreme behaviour and doesn’t let it affect him. “Indian fans go overboard with their feelings. They treat a cricketer like a demi god and are equally harsh with him when he performs badly. All players are familiar with this behaviour and don’t let it affect them, but they would love a balanced approach. At times, fans do expect a lot but they must understand that not all matches can be won.”
Cricket is nothing less than a religion for Indians, and this emotional attachment results in extreme reactions in fans. Prateek Shah, social media consultant says, “When we win, people dance on the street, but if we lose, then nobody can be worse than us at bad mouthing. Is the craze a little crazy? Yes. Is there a way out of it? No, we will continue to be the same forever.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
