Get into the smart league
Targeted at youngsters, Byond’s new handset — Q99 — performs well. Despite being at a price point of `3,500, the phone is loaded with a number of communication applications. The inbuilt apps keeps you connected with your friends through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter and hosts of other features like MSN and Yahoo Messen-ger. This dual-SIM phone also supports good multimedia capabilities and can play MP3, MP4 and few other file formats.
Even the storage capacity is fine — it offers a 8 GB expandable memory slot —as you can store all your important information, favourite songs, videos and pictures on this handset. Users can also record their favourite tunes playing on any radio station.
The Qwerty keypad is an added advantage and so is the Bluetooth connectivity. However, the phone tends to slow down when put on multiple applications. Its 1.3MP camera is an added feature but the screen could have been a bit bigger.
Neverthe-less, this product is a good buy for those who want to get used to a smartphone or otherwise.
