Girl to be reunited with parents soon
After a full month, three-year-old Sangeeta, who was kidnapped from Chhatra-pati Shivaji Terminus, will be finally reunited with her parents on Wednesday or Thursday. The Mumbai GRP is also waiting to grill to the kidnapper to check his antecedents.
A GRP team comprising six members will reach Hardwar on Monday morning and the girl is likely to be brought to Mumbai by Wednesday or Thursday. “The parents of the girl will be called to Mumbai to claim the girl,” said Surendra Deshmukh, senior police inspector from CST GRP.
The team will bring the arrested kidnapper, Bhopal resident Raju Fallu Gaud (25) to seek his custody for a detailed investigation in the case. “We will have to investigate various angles such as the motive of the kidnapping, if there are more persons involved in the crime, the antecedents of the kidnapper, whether the girl was subjected to torture and the places she was taken. Also whether she was forced to beg. We will seek the custody of the accused from a local court,” said Mr Deshmukh.
The girl’s parents have also confirmed their daughter’s identity by watching the visuals of the girl rescued.
On Saturday, an alert policeman who had watched the footage at Hardwar spotted the girl with man who had a limp at the Hardwar Roadways bus station after which he detained the person over suspicion. Investigations revealed that girl was the one kidnapped from Mumbai.
