High through the eyeballs
The hip-hop loving, rave hopping, techno thrashers are ditching the swirls and swigs and are taking the ‘shot’ craze to new heights.
A new method of drinking, ‘eyeballing’, is gaining popularity among party buffs. It involves drizzling a few drops of vodka into the eye and voila! You move from reality to a
state of an alcohol-infused kick. This trend, a huge rage amongst young people in the UK and US, is winning over the lads who are vying to be the one who revs from zero to a hundred on the alcohol scale in a matter of minutes.
Thanks to the popularity of this practice on Facebook and YouTube, the party hoppers are leaving caution to the winds as they pour the potion straight into their eyeballs! Confesses Raj R. (name changed), a 20-year-old engineering student, “I regard myself as a sensible teenager but when my friends dared me to try it at a private party, I did. The next day my eye was constantly watering and I decided not to repeat it again as it was a painful hangover to nurse. But some of my friends still indulge in ‘eyeballing’ as they experience deeper intoxication through this form of drinking.” Despite virtual warnings against this practice, a party freak, Arjun T. says, “A friend of mine sent me a link on how to perfect eyeballing from YouTube and it seems like something one must try at least once. But better sense prevailed.”
