I want to see salman get married: aamir

Aamir Khan might be 46, but he is still excited about celebrating birthdays. “I am lucky that I was not shooting on my birthday. On the night of the 13th, I was shooting at Mehboob Studio and I rushed home before 12. But just as I left the studio, Kiran reached there. She rushed to wish me at exactly 12,” says the mega star.

The romance in their marriage is obviously alive and Aamir is now keen to see others tie the knot. “I want to see Salman getting married as soon as possible. His fans and I are all desperately waiting to witness this beautiful occasion,” he smiles and adds, “Whenever I bring up the topic of marriage, Salman gets shy and starts laughing.”
So, will he help his buddy find a suitable girl? “I don’t think I or anyone else needs to find a girl for Salman – he’s surrounded by many beauties; he can choose any one from them,” jokes Aamir.
The birthday boy has received quite a few gifts this time around, but for him the biggest gift would be the World Cup. “I have received many birthday gifts, but the biggest gift for me will be the World Cup,” says the cricket fanatic, who actually has a replica of the World Cup in front of his house.
He is, however, a bit evasive when asked whether Shah Rukh Khan wished him. “I don’t know because I have not checked my mobile. It is filled with messages. I think he has messaged me.”
He might be getting on years, but that doesn’t stop Aamir from making resolutions for the coming year. He’s made three. “My first is learning Marathi, and I have started on that. My second is to spend more time with my mother who now lives with us and my third resolution is to learn swimming. I have started and hope I will become a good swimmer soon,” he adds.
Looking back at all his experiments in the past, the actor says, “There have been lots of experiments in my life and almost each one has been a success. Today, when I look back, I can feel the value of the various experiences. Professionally, I feel I have matured. Today, I am at the peak of my career. I would like to thank each and every one for all these experiences.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
