Imam has big B’wood plans

He might be known more for creating havoc in the Bigg Boss 6 house than for his work as an image consultant, but Imam Siddique is taking it all in his stride. He is all set to make his presence felt down South. “I have been invited by a leading producer to play the character of a psycho-killer in a bi-lingual Tamil-Telugu film.

I’m also judging a few style shows and taking this opportunity to look around to see if there are any requirements for styling or even acting in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam or Telugu films.”
Known to go ballistic at the drop of a hat, Imam goes on to describe his time in the Bigg Boss house, by crooning Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
He says, “There was never a dull moment. Bigg Boss was the most bizarre-yet-beautiful experience of my life and I got calls from Alaska to Australia, China and Colombia; I personally attended to all these calls. My favourite was the ‘Pagalpan’ task, where I carved a watermelon and the other contestants went jaw-dropping, like Art Deco ash trays and eyes popping out like corn in a microwave! Thanks to the recognition I got, even the UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s Official Residence, 10 Downing Street, follows me on Twitter.”
So, what plans does Imam have up his sleeve now? “I’m not leaving any opportunity to hobnob and raise capital for a few of my own independent films like The Bhagwan of Bollywood and Reality TV Show — Bigg Bollywood and I’m also looking at launching my own fashion brand. My niece Rahila and Tahir Chaudhary are into events and we are also looking at specialising in destination weddings with khandaanishaadis.com.”
Commenting on some of his favourite well-dressed celebrities in Bollywood, he states, “Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, and Saif Ali Khan are my favourite debonair dudes. Deepika Padukone and Dia Mirza are extremely well turned out divas.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
