It’s a baby girl for Lara, Mahesh

The year seems to have started on a very happy note for Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupati. The duo became proud parents of a bonny baby girl. “Lara delivered on Friday around 3.30 pm. Both mother and baby are healthy and are doing fine,” confirms Lara’s official spokesperson.
After dating for a brief period the actress married tennis star Mahesh Bhupati last year. Lara was always keen to start a family. “Motherhood is the most inevitable and happy phase in a woman’s life. She did not hide the news about her pregnancy. In fact she went all out to show her baby bump,” says our source.
The Bhupatis do not want to divulge too many details about the mother and their daughter. Understandably they are ecstatic but they also want to avoid the media intrusion. An over the moon Mahesh tweeted about the latest addition in his family. “Lara’s friends from the industry and family have been sending her congratulatory messages. ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @DuttaLara. I Love u,” tweets Mahesh on his Twitter page.
