Kavitta had a close shave

Kavitta Verma, who made her debut with Policegiri, had a narrow escape during one of her biking escapades on the streets of Mumbai.

The actress was saddled with work for a long time and felt that she needed a break desperately. Kavitta, who is an experienced biker, hadn’t taken her bike out for a ride for quite some time. She hit the streets of Lonavala on a rainy afternoon and it was not before long that she escaped a nasty accident.
Recalling the incident, Kavitta says, “I wanted to get some fresh air and it was a while since I had ridden my bike. It’s always a great experience to ride in the rains as the breeze is cool and pleasant. But I forgot that bad roads and Mumbai go hand-in-hand. While riding, I managed to notice an open manhole just in time and applied the brakes. I was quite shaken by the incident. A few pedestrians came to see if I was okay. Then I had a nice cup of cutting chai and rode back home extra cautiously.”
Kavitta continues, “The number of accidents due to potholes and open manholes are rising by the day. The BMC should really take it seriously and help make the city is safe for us. That’s the least they could do.”
