Looks like leggings are seriously morphing out of control. Last season, the ‘in’ thing was jeggings (the cross between jeans and legging) and this season, it’s the hybrid trouser-legging combo ‘treggings’, that’s getting fashionistas all excited. From working to working out, comfort seems to be on top of everyone’s minds. That could explain why treggings are being worn by anybody, anywhere.

Entrepreneur Anusha Raj feels treggings are the most comfortable thing to wear for the whole day. “If I have a busy day multi-tasking, I can walk in and out of different occasions in them. I also carry different tops so my look just needs a little tweaking when I’m in treggings,” she says.
The idea with treggings is that one can wear them as regular pants, but get the super stretchy and comfort of leggings. Recruitment professional Priya Chetty Rajagopal says she likes wearing treggings as they are comfortable.
“I think informal styles will stay. Comfortable stuff rarely goes out of fashion,” she adds. Leggings have been around for ages, proving that they are not a fad, but a fashion essential in every woman’s closet. The fact that it can be dressed up or dressed down is what attracts women to them.
