Looking for big ‘break’

Producer-director Kunal Kohli is ready to hit the box office with his next production, Break Ke Baad featuring Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan together for the first time. And Kunal says the love story will be career defining for the two actors.
“Deepika has been known for her blockbuster films and this will be an interesting role for her. This is going to be her finest performance,” says Kunal, who is excited about casting them together for the first time. The director adds that both Deepika and Imran are in their comfort zones and that shows on screen.
“Imran will be an actor on his own after the film. Their chemistry is dazzling. We saw this happen during the reading sessions that we had at my house before we started work on the film. They are fresh faces, young and are the youth icons of today. I am sure that the Indian youth is going to enjoy the film,” says the director.
Kunal, who started his career as a television journalist, says that the film has already become a hit on social networks like Twitter and Facebook. “We have got a tremendous response. We have started a YouTube channel where we have had more than 100 views within an hour of the launch,” he says.
