Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor enjoy a bike ride in Rockstar

Recently, Shahid Kapoor and Bipasha Basu went for a long drive to Khandala. While the duo is rumoured to be dating, we ask youngsters in the city what’s it about bike rides that excites every couple?

“Going for movies, dinners or discotheques is fun but nothing beats a ride on a bike. Especially during monsoon, a ride to the outskirts of the city can be a perfect getaway. Aravalli hills in Gurgaon is one of my favourite places for a nice bike ride,” says Amit Sood, who works with a BPO.
Men love bikes, but women are also equally thrilled about the rides. Suvir Paul, who works as a director with Penn, Schoen and Berland shares, “When I was in college, my female friends always wanted a ride on the bike. I bought a new bike in March this year, and I still get requests from colleagues and other female friends for bike rides.”
On screen also, couples have popularised the thrill of bike rides. Anushka Sharma rides bike with Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, in spite of losing her vision Deepika Padukone enjoys speedy rides with Neil Nitin Mukesh in Lafangey Parindey, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra seemed to have all the fun on Teri Meri Kahani posters.
While a nice bike ride tops Nargis Fakhri’s wishlist before getting married, the actress falls in love with dishy Ranbir during one such ride in Rockstar.
“The first thing I demanded from my fiancé after getting engaged was a bike ride to Manesar. Couples like to share many things. And a bike ride could be one of the most memorable experiences,” says Kiran Chhabra, who works with an IT firm.
