After being a regular face for several popular brands, and after acting in several documentaries and bagging a few roles in television, Madhurima Tuli is all set to enter Bollywood. We recently caught up with actress who was present in the capital for the promotion of her film Cigarette Ki Tarah.

“The movie is a romantic-thriller. It is an engaging story filled with lots of twists and turns. The movie is all about love, hatred and dhoka, so the young audience will be able to relate well with the script and the characters of the movie,” says Madhurima.
Madhurima adds, “Zeenat Amanji watched the promos of the movie recently and she was impressed with the anti-smoking message that the movie spreads.”
Talking about her love for Delhi winters, Madhurima says, “One can savour hot, mouth-watering street food in Delhi during winters. I see that people in Delhi are very fashion foward. It inspires you to get up and take out the best of your winter clothes, spice them up with the sexiest pair of boots and rock the streets.”
Madhurima feels her dream role would be that of Priyanka Chopra’s in Fashion.
Sharing about how it feels to be a debutant in Bollywood, Madhurima quips, “I feel butterflies in my stomach. I am hoping people like the hard work put in by the newcomers.”
She adds, “We are living in a phase where Bollywood is experimenting a lot in terms of cast, characters and languages. There are a host of newcomers and many are getting a break because everyone in the industry — directors to producers — is willing to try out something different to bring people to multiplexes.”
Apart from acting, Madhurima likes to dance and finds river-rafting an ideal way to get a break from work.
Talking about the choice of an ideal partner, she quickly says, “Work is my boyfriend. I don’t want to be distracted at this stage in my career. Work is my priority, and will remain so for sometime.”
Sharing a few style tips, she adds, “As winter is here, stock up on a mix of vibrant clothes. From asymmetrical jackets, heavy knit mufflers to peplums and bejewelled headbands, just get stylish this season.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
