Mallika likes ‘item girl’ tag
Kingfisher calendar model, Mallika Haydon who is making her debut in Bollywood with an item number in Agent Vinod seems to be happy about the buzz it’s creating. Few know that Mallika’s reason for choosing an item number has a lot to do with her musical background. “I’m a dancer and a musician. I love to dance and Bollywood dancing needs tons of energy. The foot tapping number makes my feet move automatically,” she says.
Mallika has no qualms about doing an item number. “I have no hassles being tagged as a hot sexy female. I mean, who would?” questions the model who has been in the news for her perfect figure. She admits that she isn’t one to obsess about exercise and dieting.
“I practise yoga and some light exercises on the weekends. I do not care much about dieting,” says Mallika who confesses to being blessed with a sylph like figure. “Thankfully I do not have a tendency to put on weight, so I can eat whatever I like. I love Thai food and am a fan of chicken tikka. It is my favourite dish,” she says.
On being compared to her sister, model Lisa Haydon, she says, “I am known as Lisa Haydon’s sister and it’s perfectly fine by me. She has made a name for herself in the industry. I do not feel degraded by the recognition I get through her name. It feels great.”
Mallika has no scepticism about embarking on the B-town journey. “I’ve come here with the intention of making it big and will work hard to do so,” she signs off.
