They set hearts racing with their scorching act on the ramp. But off it, these beauties play another role with equal élan: that of the yummy mummy.
While Mehr Jessia Rampal quit modelling at the height of her career, she still makes occasional appearances on the ramp, as she did for Malini Ramani’s summer-resort collection at LIFW in February this year. In a shimmering golden gown that accentuated her statuesque beauty, only the presence of spouse Arjun Rampal and her two daughters in the front row gave away the fact that Mehr is anything but a supermodel. Another ramp favourite, Alesia Raut, has also returned to the ramp after giving birth to her son Mark, whom she is now raising singly.
Internationally, the list of hot model moms includes the Victoria’s Secret girl, Adriana Lima. After marrying Serbian basketball player Marko Jaric, in February 2009, Adriana had their first child, a daughter named Valentina Lima Jaric in November.
If anything made more news than supermodel Gisele Bundchen’s hook up with sports star Tom Brady, it was the birth of her first child Benjamin. Gisele reportedly wants a bigger brood. Heidi Klum, on the other hand, already has one. After her breakup with Renault boss Flavio Briatore, Heidi and her daughter Leni found comfort with singer Seal. A couple of wedding vows later, Heidi and Seal have two more children to give Leni company: Henri and Johan.
