Mouli set to two-time

Mouli Ganguly is in a happy frame of mind. The actress, who was on a long hiatus, is back on the small screen in TV czarina Ekta Kapoor’s Kya Hua Tera Vaada. She sounds quite excited and is happy to be a part of the show.
“I am glad that Ekta Kapoor thought of me to be a part of this show,” she says. Mouli is set to play a rich businesswoman who ends up having an extramarital affair with the protagonist Pawan Shankar. “Pawan is a happily married man and Mona Singh plays his wife. The plot has some interesting twists and that’s what really got me excited about this show,” says Mouli who will be seen in a new avatar. Keeping those saris and bindis on hold, Mouli is set to don power suits and western outfits for this character.
Since the shooting has just begun, Mouli hasn’t had the chance to meet Mona since most of her scenes are with Pawan. “Till now I’ve shot a couple of scenes with Pawan only. I haven’t yet interacted with Mona in the script as she is a housewife busy taking care of the kids and her family. So essentially, I am just interacting with Pawan. My character spends time with Pawan at work and Mona spends time with him at home, so Mona and I haven’t yet got any scenes together,” says Mouli.
Apart from this show, the Bengali beauty says that nothing interesting has come her way. “I acted in two Bengali films before this show,” says Mouli. She says she is also open to reality shows depending on the format of the show and is currently contemplating working on two other TV projects, which she cannot speak about.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
