HAPPILY MARRIED: Newlyweds Jahnavi and Shray Chandra post wedding

It was a very private and simple affair. Nandan Nilekani, one of the co-founders of Infosys, who is currently the chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) celebrated his daughter Jahnavi’s wedding to college sweetheart Shray Chandra at the Taj West End, Bengaluru, on Monday afternoon. It was a traditional shindig from the word go.

Jahnavi wore a fuchsia traditional saree for the wedding. A wedding reception was later held at the Leela Palace on Tuesday that saw the who’s who of the business fraternity wish the newly wed couple.
The grand and royal ballrooms and other rooms of the hotel were buzzing with a flurry of elegant ladies dressed in their traditional Banarasi silk and jute saris and men dressed in formals.
Jahnavi wore a multi-coloured sari with patch work and looked resplendent in a dazzling diamond jewellery set. Rohini looked picture perfect in a traditional sari with golden motifs and multiple pearl strand neckpiece with polkis.
The guest list included Praful Patel, Cabinet minister, Shyam Bhartia and Hari Bhartia of Jubilant Life Sciences, Rajan Karanjawala of Karanjawala and Company, Vinayak Chatterjee of Feedback Infrastructure, Suresh Neotia of Ambuja Cements, N.K. Singh, member of Rajya Sabha, Azim Premji, Anil Kumble with wife Jyotsna, Arundhati Nag, Praveen and Vinita Sood, Nandini Alva, Priya Rao of Spastics Society, Nisha Millet and a host of other esteemed dignitaries.
