One MMO to rule them all
For years, World of Warcraft has been hailed as the king of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Role Playing Games. However in light of its falling subscriptions and age old engine, its about time gamers welcomed a new challenger to the throne.
Guild Wars 2 which launched sometime last year has recently become the fastest selling MMO of all time.
The critically acclaimed game boasts a huge vibrant world full of creatures, dungeons and undead dragons. It is easily one of the best looking MMO’s I have ever seen and there will be times when all you want to do is sit on a cliff and take in the sights. Guild Wars 2’s appeal lies in the fact that it takes your MMO experience beyond just mindless killing and grinding with a dozens of ways to earn xp and enjoy the game. Jumping puzzles spread across the world will surely test you for the hours you spent on platformers as a child, Guilds can embark on epic quests to bring down champions or discover new lands while those interested in PvP can head over to small scale or large scale wars between servers.
However, the game’s crown jewel is its Living World which gives players new content every two weeks with special achievements, loot and rewards. The continuous chain of events keep players hooked to the game and provides fresh avenues to explore every fortnight. If that wasn’t enough then you’ll be glad to now GW2 does not have any subscription fee nor is it a Pay to Win model. After a one time purchase players can enjoy the full game without having to spend an extra penny.
