Actress Sonya Jehan of Bollywood decent, who made her debut in Bollywood with the period epic romance, Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story is being choosy to make a comeback. We recently caught up with the actor who was looking resplendent in a graceful green kurta, at a painting exhibition organised by an NGO, Routes 2 Roots.

So what has been keeping the lovely actress busy? “Children have become my first priority of late. Apart from that, I am studying and working with a hospitality group, something that I have always wanted to, although silver screen continues to charm me,” says the French-Pakistani Bollywood actress.
Noor Jehan, the legendary singer and actress’ granddaughter, Sonya says her idea of ‘classic beauty with brains’ is defined by the divas of the yore. “Greta Garbo and Madhubala are inarguably some of the best artistes to have graced the silver screens with their immense talent,” says Sonya.
Talking about her love for the capital, the actress says, “Delhi is gradually becoming country’s cultural hub. From fashion shows to cinema halls, theatres to flea markets and clubs, all are buzzing with a mix of hobnobbing activity.”
Adding a message for the fans that have been missing the pretty actress’ presence on the silver screen, Sonya says, “Finally, my work-permit issues have been resolved. I am open to experiment with the roles and, ready to read more scripts carefully and soon make a comeback on the silver screen.”
Talking about the latest winter fashion, Sonya says, “Go for a nice jacket with a sharp and proper cut teamed with a pair of boots to look stylish this season.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
