There are coffee liqueurs and there’s Patron. The tequila loving connoisseurs will swear by Patron but one of its most delectable varietals is the coffee-flavoured one.

Patrón XO Café is an extraordinary blend of ultra premium tequila and the natural essences of the finest coffee. This weighs in at a relatively hefty 35 per cent ABV.
The aroma is that of sweetened alcohol-laced coffee. It is rather nutty with a touch of summer fruits.
Unlike most coffee liqueurs, the taste is more dry than sweet. The sweetness is relatively fleeting and a rounded bitter coffee flavour builds in intensity through the mid-palate to balance, but never quite eliminates it. The higher proof brings out the coffee essence magnificently. Apart from using it in an espresso martini, like all good liqueur, one can consume this neat or on the rocks.
