PC to pay tribute to Rekha at Iifa

Priyanka Chopra, unquestionably the hottest diva in the film industry today, can only perhaps be compared to Rekha as far as style and oomph goes.

And identifying the similarities between the two, the organisers of the International Indian Film Academy (Iifa) awards have roped in the actress to perform a little tribute to Rekha at the upcoming awards ceremony.
The buzz is that PC is rehearsing with co-star Shahid Kapoor, and together, the duo will recreate the famous Amitabh-Rekha song Pardesia. “Shahid and PC might do a small jig on the number. Their biggest fear is to do justice to the actors,” a source says.
In the past, PC had paid a tribute to Madhuri Dixit, but this time will be different, she insists. “Priyanka really respects and admires Rekha and the aura she has always maintained, even after four decades of being in the industry,” says a source.
