Running for the ball
Electronic Arts is expanding upon FIFA’s most popular game mode, Ultimate Team in FIFA 14. With 3.4 million matches being played daily, there is no doubt that Ultimate Team is the forerunner for the success and the popularity that FIFA video games have earned over the past few years.
In this game mode, you start with a selection of low level players. As you win matches, both online and offline, you earn coins which can be used in the transfer market to purchase specific players, managers and a variety of chemistry boosters. You can also buy higher rated players by purchasing packs with these coins or with real money. Your goal is to increase your squad depth, eventually win Division 1 and create the ‘Ultimate Team’ with maximum chemistry. In previous iterations, chemistry played a massive role in your success. It was more important than your formation, the stats of your team and in many cases, a player’s level of skill.
In FIFA 14, players received by opening packs will earn a loyalty bonus, but players you purchase from the transfer market need to have played 10 matches to earn this increase.
Game4u is offering an exclusive steelbook case for FIFA 14 for customers who pre-order it. FIFA 14 is releasing on all platforms on September 27.
