Singer, actor, dancer and glamorous DJ, Manasi Scott grabs your attention the moment she takes to the console. But what has her all excited now is her latest acting stint in a film from the house of Bhatts.

The glamorous singer is starring in Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming movie. “I can’t reveal much about the role as of now, but we are done with the shooting of the film, which is expected to hit the screens this year,” says Scott, who was earlier seen sharing the screen with John Abraham in Jhoota Hi Sahi.
Talking about her Bollywood singing career, Scott shares, “I started my B’wood career with Acid Factory as a composer and a singer. Later, I sang for music composers including Sajid-Wajid, Salim-Sulaiman and Monty Sharma. One of my last hits was Haiyya Haiyya from Pappu Can’t Dance Saala among other songs.”
With an impeccable fashion sense and a unique throw in her voice, Scott loves to pamper herself and has a special fondness for glitzy, glossy dresses teamed up with heavy accessories. She quips, “If you have it, flaunt it.”
If given a chance Scott would like to sing for divas, Kareena Kapoor and Sridevi. “I would also love to lip-sync for a husky, unconventional voice like that of Rani Mukerji,” says Scott, who was recently seen celebrating The World Music Day at Club Shroom.
Scott, who can sing in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu, is impressed by the ever-evolving music scene of Delhi. She says, “Delhi is a place that embraces various genres of music, ranging from bhangra to desi beats to Bollywood, jazz or even hard rock.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
