The Nawab of Najafgarh’s gorgeous wife Aarti Sehwag is all set to enjoy the sixth edition of the IPL season with her two sons and support hubby, Virender Sehwag with her heart and soul.

We recently caught up with Aarti who was in the capital to promote Ariel Color & Style, a new variant of the popular detergent.
The IPL fever has kicked in and the Sehwags’ are all set to sit together and watch the exciting tournament and cheer for Delhi Daredevils.
Sharing about the most endearing quality of Virender, Aarti says, “He is a very positive and a strong man. Whatever he is today is solely because of his dedicated passion for cricket. Sehwag is a self-made man. Also, another quality that he is really compassionate towards everyone and hardly loses his calm. I am happy that I married a simple, sober man.”
The explosive opener had been smitten by this beauty very early in his teens. Getting nostalgic Aarti shared, “We had known each other for around 17 years but it took 14 years for the romance to begin as we started dating only three years before our marriage.”
So is the cricketer able to take out sufficient time for the kids? “Viru is a great father and he is nurturing the kids very well. He manages to take us out for movies or we visit friends on weekends. Even when I travel with the kids on cricket tours, he helps me with the kids after practice sessions and matches,” says Aarti.
What keeps the pretty wife busy when Viru is busy chasing his passion? “I look after the Sehwag International School which is in Jajjjar, Haryana. Also, handling two kids is a job in itself. At times, we also go out for parties where the wives and kids of other cricketers are present. It is great fun catching up with them.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
