It was the mother of all parties as superstar Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 70th birthday with family and friends from the industry. The who’s who from the world of films, business and fashion made their presence felt at the do. The star attraction of the party apart from Big B was his youngest granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan.

Although she didn’t pose for the media, she was there during the cake cutting ceremony and the Bachchans posed as a happy family for the first time at a social event.
Big B’s grandchildren Agastya and Navya Naveli Nanda released a coffee-table book on his life and journey in the industry. Younger brother Ajitabh Bachchan spoke about how Amitabh was protective of him and always ensured he didn’t face any trouble.
Anil Ambani, compared Big B’s intelligence and persona with that of Lord Buddha’s. Whereas an emotional Jaya Bachchan had tears in her eyes. She was thankful to everyone who made it to the party. Aishwarya spoke about how lucky she was to be a part of the family.
As the party progressed actor Shah Rukh Khan took to the dance floor and dispelled all the rumours about a rift between him and Big B’s family.
The party went on till wee hours of the morning as guests left the venue as late as 4 am in the morning.
