Sharpen insight with power of observation

While I was being trained at the gurukul, for about a year I had to observe just one zone out of 16 vastu zones and write notes. My teacher of Patanjali Yoga specifically told me to focus on one zone, because according to him ‘practice of observation is important, not what is being observed’. Once we are good at observing things, everything becomes clear.
So, I continuously observed one particular zone in different buildings for a year. This hourly observation became like a daily meditation of six hours for me.
Slowly, I realised a difference in my observations. What I could see in five minutes, then 10 minutes, then 45 minutes and then in an hour was totally different, as the scope of my observation had been widening with time.
I enjoyed this so much that practicing observation became a pleasure for me. I would sit in one place for many hours, many days to develop my awareness of knowledge as an observer. The whole point is becoming an observer — reaching that pinnacle from where our view becomes vast and clear, and then we start getting insights.
When an apple fell, Newton was inspired and adamant about wanting to know the cause of its fall. Since he had an observer’s mind — a still mind — he went into the depth of the subject.
Einstein was studying and thinking about light for a long time and then he got a critical insight. This did not happen until he was so deep into his thoughts (akin to meditation), that a ‘gate’ suddenly opened and he saw the light. This invented the theory of relativity. This is what happens in meditation. When you have a focused attention, you are able to see wider.
A mediator’s consciousness picks it up very quickly but many people are not capable of doing this — capable of seeing (observing) each second and each subject.
The purpose of Vastu Shastra is to create a space, which modifies our internal alchemy and mental processes in order to bring about a change in our point of view and help us see wider. This, in turn, empowers our inner mind to attract manifestation of our desires.
To this end, I have designed many homes and observed changes in the residents. Some of these persons rose to the pinnacles of success, became leaders in the world in their respective domains, designed and manufactured different products, led different industries, gained immense fame in their respective fields.
The main reason behind all this is none other than the widening of their vision, getting connected to their vigyanmaya kosha and anandmaya kosha and using that system of alchemy of inner mind correctly.
This is the main aim of the Alchemy of Space. Widening of vision and awareness of knowledge brings in harmony with nature and attracts success, growth, health and money in life.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
