Sinful tunes rule for this musical foursome
With a quirky name like Paapi 4, four Bollywood composers Gourov Dasgupta, Sidharth, Suhaas and Chirantan Bhatt have got together to create music under a new genre, which they have named “humour rock”. With quirky titles such as Rickshaw Mein Romance and Vada Pav to name a few in their maiden album Paap, the band members believe their sound is as unique as their wacky personalities, and hence is bound to make people sit up and take notice.
“We didn’t want to make anything serious. So the songs are trying to capture the comic side of life. The lyrics by Suhaas and Chirantan are simple yet humorous,” says Gourov. And why a name like Paapi 4? “It came very naturally to us. We are all bad boys, so the title suits us. It’s a mad name for a mad album,” he adds.
Quiz him about creative satisfaction and Gourov says, “Music itself gives us creative satisfaction. It’s great that we do what we love most.”
