Small screen comfort
It’s been often said that television gives actresses life beyond films. The statement holds meaning for Aroona Irani, who shifted her focus to the small screen 12 years ago and is quite comfortable essaying roles in serials.
“I’m happy doing television and shows. Many actresses like Rekha, Rakhee and others, who have not been getting film offers, are at home, but I have kept myself busy with television. In recent years, I’ve not got interesting roles in films, so instead of not doing any work at all, I took up good shows on TV,” says Aroona, who will be seen in upcoming show Dekha Ek Khwaab.
In the show, she will be essaying the role of a mother from the royal family, who is a mix of elegance and severity. The actress, who has also produced shows like Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chaand and is in the process of launching another production venture soon, reveals that unlike acting, producing a show requires a lot of running around.
“Acting and producing are different. Acting is easy, but producing a show is quite hectic and difficult. When I’m producing a show, I have to be on the sets all the time because I need handle each and everything. But when I’m just acting, things are much easier and comfortable,” informs Aroona.
