SRK bonds with Akki

He might be at loggerheads with most of his old pals. While Shah Rukh is accused of falling out with his close friends, he is also busy befriending yet another set of his colleagues.
On Saturday evening, SRK had invited Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Prabhdeva to watch Kolkata Knight Riders’ match in Pune. In the past, both Akshay and SRK have been cordial to each other. They have done shows but have never been a part of the same social circle. The ones who saw the two actors sitting next to each other at Subrata Roy Stadium in Pune feel that they looked comfortable in each other’s company.
“Akshay and gang might have gone to promote their film Rowdy Rathore, but in the course of it all, he was also seriously bonding with SRK. They were having an animated conversation throughout the match,” says a close associates.
Akshay has been an ardent cricket fan and when he got a formal invitation from SRK himself he couldn’t turn it down. The source further adds, “Of late the superstar might be having issues with his best buddies but SRK is known for being a loyal friend. In fact, their wives Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Khan move around in the same circle. Maybe their wives got the ball rolling but the fact remains that SRK needs some good friends around him and Akshay’s non-controversial presence might work for their newfound equation. Another connection between Akshay and SRK is that not so long ago, the former replaced King Khan in their common friend’s film Tees Mar Khan. The film was the reason Farah and Khan fell out. And now the two actors in question seem to have let bygones be bygones and start afresh.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
