Bold and beautiful Katrina Kaif may have raised eyebrows with her risqué choice of clothes at the Mumbai airport recently but when she arrived in Delhi, she looked an absolute stunner in an “opaque” black outfit.

At Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon, she was curious to know how the entire system functions there. “It’s a huge attempt at promoting our culture. It’s a nice place to spend quality time with your family,” she said, after unveiling online retail portal Gitanjalishop.com.
Although she hasn’t been to Delhi a lot, she loves coming back here. She had a ball of a time shooting for Mere Brother ki Dulhan. “I love shooting in Delhi. Mumbai is nice but you always feel like going away from the crowd and relax in Delhi. My favourite place in Delhi is Chawri Bazaar. I will be coming back in February for a shoot. I feel people should shoot here more often,” she added.
Riding high on the feedback she got for Jab Tak Hai Jaan, when asked why there was no success bash for JTHJ, she explained, “The film garnered acclaim and it was doing well at the BO, but still there was a sense of incompletion. Even though we were all happy, there was something amiss. We were missing Yashji. A party for JTHJ would have been incomplete without him.”
Currently busy shooting for Dhoom 3, she said though they had an amazing time shooting in Chicago, it’s not an easy film. “A big film like Dhoom 3 takes a lot of time and effort. But I am happy to be a part of it.”
After working with all the three reigning Khans of the industry, and delivering so many hits, does she feel she has joined the coveted club? “They are all icons and every actress would love to work with them. While they are very different people, talent and superstardom remains common. I am not there yet.”
SRK recently said that “it is lonely at the top and he is constantly fighting with the feeling of emptiness”. Does she share the same sentiment? “He is at a very high altitude. I am very happy where I am. I have many friends who are my support system. I can call them anytime and they are there for me.”
Not a jewellery person, Katrina doesn’t wear a lot of jewellery in day-to-day life. But she is fond of rings and loves to get rings as gifts. “I want to be gifted a ring, not an engagement ring though,” she laughs.
She is considered a lucky charm in Bollywood, does she agree with the title? “We all get little names. It’s sweet as long as it’s not bad,” she sums up.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
