After the much talked about pregnancy of Aishwarya Rai, it is the turn of yet another beauty queen who is glowing these days. The buzz is that Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are expecting their first child.
The rumours about Lara’s pregnancy have been making the rounds of the industry for some time now. But now it’s confirmed that Lara is indeed pregnant. “She is terribly excited about being a mommy,” says her official spokesperson. Apparently, the couple didn’t want to disclose the news at a very early stage. “Following the traditional pattern, they decided to keep the news under wraps. Understandably so. But now they can talk about it. She is three months pregnant.”
The actress who left for the US on Monday morning announced the news about her pregnancy. “I’m very happy and looking forward to the baby,” Lara confided in her manager. Being a fitness freak, Lara will ensure that she doesn’t put on too much weight. While the rest of the world was concocting stories about her six-month marriage with Mahesh Bhupati being on the rocks, the duo rubbished the rumours by breaking the news about their baby.
