Sunday special cricketainment

The Indian cricket team might have lost the series but it seems the cricket fans’ spirit has not nosedived. Cashing in on the enthusiasm of the cricket fans for the final match of the series between India and Pakistan on Sunday, city restaurants, bars and pubs are all geared up with live screenings, discounts, offers and lot many other things for cricket fans to look forward to.
“We will be offering happy hours for customers during the match. Since the crowd swells in the evening hours towards the end of the match, we have got a third screen to make sure everyone gets the best view of the match,” says Mittan Jai, general manager, Vapour Bar in Gurgaon. He adds, “Some city-based cricket clubs are regulars at the matches. Fans are disheartened because of India losing the series but we have already got advance bookings for the last match and we believe enthusiasm among the fans will only increase.”
Since the series started on December 25, many restaurants and bars in the city claim to have received big crowds on every match. To show their support for the Indian cricket team, many dress up in blue, says Tarun Sardana from The Great Kabab Factory, who have a special buffet for cricket fans today. “Since the last match is taking place in the city and it’s a Sunday as well, we are expecting a houseful,” he adds.
Ujjawal Ashiwal, general manager from Boulevard in Saket, says, “India-Pakistan matches are always eagerly looked forward to. Even the cold has not been able to lessen the crowd coming to watch the game. The excitement has been high during this series and Sunday match is definitely promising,” adds Ujjawal.
