Super bikes warm up sunny Sunday
On a recent Sunday afternoon, one could see a bevy of superbikes like Harley Davidson Iron, 48, Fatboy, Super Low; Ducati 848; Suzuki Hayabusa Ninja and others thumping and roaring in the vicinity of Select Citywalk mall. The occasion that got the bike enthusiasts together was the celebration of Red Mango’s first anniversary in the capital.
A show of superbikes wherein enthusiasts were introduced to the delectable flavours of health food was the idea of Rahul Kumar, CEO of the brand in India. Rahul, who owns a snazzy Red Ducati, informs, “We have invited the Motorheads biker group today to be a part of this show. I am also a member of this group and we regularly go on bike rides from time to time. By creating this high-octane event we want to attract young consumers who seek to imbibe healthy eating habits into their active lifestyle. The message is ‘cool people eat healthy.’”
Amidst the 16 superbikes that were on display, another major crowd-puller at the show was rallyist and biker Gaurav Gill, who mentioned about his upcoming Desert Strom ride. “I am a biker myself, and a great fan of superbikes. I participated in this show because I feel biking is all about youth and adventure. It’s amazing to see the turn out for this show.”
