Sushama dons producer’s hat
The transition from a model to actor and finally a producer has been a long one. For Sushama Reddy, who has just turned a producer with her banner Seven Islands sounds excited about her latest venture. “It’s one thing facing the camera and acting and another being a producer. It is an enormous job where one needs to have a holistic approach as one gives shape to a film. Moreover, there are many issues like dealing with the finances, actors and directors. And all this responsibility comes along with being a woman,” she says. Besides turning a producer Sushama is busy with her commercials and shows. “My commercial will be appearing next week. Apart from that I am doing lifestyle shows for developing content. I look upto Karan Johar and want to do something like he has done with his career,” she says.
She sounds upbeat about the line up of her films. “My next two films with my partner Sanjay Bhattacharjee will be National Roaming, followed by Then Tibet, a touching tale of a Tibetan family and Stamp collector based on Vishwapriya Iyengar’s critically acclaimed short story No Letter from Mother,” she says.
