Tanishtha campaigns for the homeless
Models shooting for animal welfare initiatives in animal printed, skimpily clad clothes have been a rage for a while now. Pamela Anderson took to it and closer to home Mallika Sherawat also endorsed it. But Tanishtha Chaterjee, the latest entrant to join the Peta club seems to have taken a different take on it.
The dusky beauty who starred opposite Abhay Deol in Road is the latest entrant to the club, but it looks like she has given the usual idea of sporting animal print in skimpy clothes a miss.
Sporting a plain black tee she said, “Cats and dogs have a difficult time surviving in our concrete jungles so we must take as good care of them as possible. People with the time, money, love and patience to make a lifetime commitment to an animal can make an enormous difference by adopting a dog or cat from a shelter or rescuing them. People should also stay away from pet stores and breeders who churn out animals for profit despite there already being too many homeless dogs and cats and not enough good homes.”
