Thirty is just a number
This is a stage that every youngster dreads, but it is a way of life. Turning 30 evokes different reactions from different people. But, just because you are about to turn 30 or have just done so, do you have to let go of things you did in your 20s or as some people put it, “in your youth”.
“It’s a popular stereotype that one attains a certain level of maturity only after he or she turns 30,” says Diksha Sinha, an advertising professional, who recently turned 30, adding, “This is not true. The figure is just a state of mind. You shouldn’t be worried about growing old. I feel the same now as compared to when I was 25.”
Many who will be turning 30 in a few years time are not afraid to reach the landmark age. “I am sure life will remain the same as it is now, when I turn 30,” says model Mubeen Qureshi. But, Mubeen plans to spend more time at the gym and lead a healthier lifestyle once he turns 30. Doctors often suggest a healthier lifestyle in the 30s in order to live longer.
“It’s always advisable to lead a healthy lifestyle in your 30s so that you can avoid various ailments at a later age. If you lead an unhealthy lifestyle, you could fall prey to various health problems at a later age,” says Dr N. Kumar, a general physician.
