Vivek Oberoi became proud father to a baby boy on February 6. The baby was due in early March, but the Oberoi family was ready to celebrate even the early arrival. “I want to wind up the promotions of my film Jayantabhai Ki Love Story before I take paternity leave. The film releases on February 15 and I’d assured my wife Priyanka that I’ll be with her till she delivers,” Vivek told in an exclusive interview.

Vivek and his wife Priyanka Alva lost no time in expressing how overjoyed they were with the birth of their son. “Today is the most special day of my life! Priyanka and I welcomed our little angel into our world, a beautiful, healthy, divine baby boy,” Vivek tweeted on Wednesday. “I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, duas, blessings, prayers and aashirwaad you have sent us! Our son is truly blessed,” he added.
Priyanka is the daughter of Karnataka politico, the late Jeevaraj Alva. She delivered her baby in Bengaluru, where her family is based. Sources close to Vivek revealed that Priyanka had a normal delivery
“Vivek flew in to Bengaluru on Tuesday to check on his wife. He was scheduled to return to Mumbai on Wednesday as he had to resume the promotions of his upcoming film,” our source added. Obviously, the young father will be extending his stay in Bengaluru now, and should be back in Mumbai by February 8.
Last week Vivek had shared with his us his plans for gifting his wife a swanky new car after she delivered. “I’m a bit confused about which one to buy. Hopefully, I’ll make up my mind after the release of JBKLS,” he had said. It looks like Vivek will have to make up his mind a wee bit sooner.
