What are Beatles’ fans excited about?
A reunion of sorts! Lovers of the evergreen Liverpool band were astonished as the two existing members, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, met up for an impromptu dinner in L.A last Saturday.
According to the Daily Mail, the duo went to the posh Mr Chow Restaurant in Beverly Hills where they enjoyed a jolly reunion. Paul (70) and Ringo (72) both looked dapper in trendy wear, as Ringo’s wife, actress Barbara Bach also joined them, cutting a classy picture.
Another surprise was when Paul’s wife, Nancy, too joined them, making for a fabulous night out — more so for those who have yearned to see the two together for ages. There was more reason to rejoice at the chic restaurant as fellow rocker Joe Walsh, guitarist for the Eagles since 1975, was also there along with ELO star Jeff Lynne.
The English band, which was formed in the 1960s, is the most commercially and critically successful outfits of all time, having inspired a legacy of rock fans and musicians. ‘Beatlemania’ became a household term, as the Fab Four ascended on a journey of fame, controversy and chart-topping records. John Lennon was killed in 1980, while George Harrison passed away after his battle with lung cancer in 2001.
