What are these superheroes fighting?

Fashion crimes! Ever since comics came into existence, superheroes have had fantastic costumes, such as flowing capes, inspiring logos, quirky accessories and so on — but have they ever found favour with the fashion police?

Kevin Wada decided to take matters into his own hands. The San Francisco-based illustrator has a fondness for putting the most badass of heroes and heroines in trendy outfits of his own making! As reported by Wired, the sultry Vixen gets a fantastic sun hat and white gloves, for instance. With focus on the heroes of the Marvel Universe, such as Magneto, Mystique, and Cyclops, Wada has clearly had a blast. Wolverine is seen sporting some particularly trendy underwear too.
Even Superman is not spared as he’s given a fashionable beach makeover, complete with suntans and lotion! When he casts superheroes in such vibrant designs, Wada apparently draws inspiration from both comics creators, like Bruce Timm and Frank Miller, and also fashion designers, like Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen.
