What is the most healthy diet?
If you’ve been a serial dieter and have experimented with various kinds of diets, without achieving any significant results, then worry not, for the healthiest meal is here. The menu was created by a team of scientists and researchers at the independent British organisation Leatherhead Food Research.
After gauging 4,000 health claims used by food sellers to entice shoppers, the researchers found that 222 were based on scientific fact. They then used those claims to create a meal that would offer maximum health benefits. Claimed to be the healthiest meal ever, the menu includes a series of superfoods that can provide you not only with a filling main meal but also plenty of extra snacks and treats with equal health — promoting benefits. Fresh and smoked salmon terrine, chicken casserole with lentils and mixed vegetables, and a yoghurt pudding topped with walnuts make for a perfectly healthy meal.
From reducing cholestrol to boosting the brain and improving mental performance, this diet is said to work wonders. Pooja Makhija, noted dietician and nutritionist says that it is an interesting blend, but one cannot for sure say what exactly constitutes the most-healthy diet. “I believe every body is unique and has different needs. Basically any meal that includes the five main elements — protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fats — constitutes a healthy diet,” she says.
Renowned dietician Rujuta Diwekar says it is important to respect your food and accordingly choose food. “Respect local tradition and customs related to food, celebrate diverse cooking traditionsand legacies, eat more at home and don’t comply to the various myths.”
