What is the nexGTv live app?

Mobile users can now experience live television on their fingertips with nexGTv. This video streaming app is free of cost and is available for almost all mobile platforms. The app also features a channel guide and works well with wi-fi and 3G connections. Low quality streaming is available with EDGE connections too.

Farhan Kapadia, a senior correspondent with a well-known tech magazine, feels, “nexGTv is great as far as catch-up video is concerned. Its adaptive tech even reduces buffer times depending on your data connection. However, a much larger library of content would certainly add to its appeal as a video streaming app.”
The live streaming app is already offering a host of general entertainment and news channels. Regional channels are also a part of it. One can even enjoy the advantage of “replay tv” where the application stores the last seven episodes of television shows. So it is easy to catch up with your favourite shows.
Mobile television in India has definitely come a long way since its launch in 2008. Speaking on the future of mobile television in India, Farhan adds, “Mobile television seems like the only sensible solution for people to catch up with their favourite content on-the-go. However, it being entirely dependent on your data connection makes it a bit of a stretch for those on limited data plans. With data connections becoming more affordable, it could soon be a viable option for mobile users.” So though we are still in the nascent stages of mobile television technology, it surely looks like live television on the go is closer to us than we imagined.
