When did everyone become photogenic?
One man has made it his personal mission in life to prove that everyone is photogenic. Jacques-jean Tiziou, a Philadephia-based photographer, says he constantly comes across people who get nervous in front of the camera because they don’t believe they are beautiful enough.
He says that people feel they are not photogenic mainly due to bad photography and the real secret to great pictures is having fun. In his website, www.everyoneisphotogenic.com, he states, “if someone takes a pile of hideous pictures of you, it simply means that they’re not a particularly gifted portrait photographer; it has absolutely nothing to do with you.” Adding, “The most important thing when in front of taking a good picture is ‘about attitude and way of life’.
According to Daily Mail, people look to airbrushed and camera-trained celebrities as examples on how they should look. To this, Tiziou explains that celebrities are in front of an audience all the time and their situation is a strange exception and not the rule.
