Fans, who were earlier very disappointed with the cancellation, are now ecstatic the group will rock the nation next year.

As far as EDM acts are concerned, SHM pretty much rule the roost as one of the top acts in the world. Save The World, Greyhound, One and Miami To Ibiza are some of their biggest albums, and the group comprises of Axwell, Steve Angelo and Sebastian Ingrosso. They announced that they will take a hiatus and this tour will be their last one for a while. Fans were mighty upset when the Mumbai gig (scheduled to take place on November 17) but the group said they would be back. The surprise package is of course the inclusion of Bengaluru in this tour. Rochak Sinha, a finance executive cannot believe his luck, “I was going to fly to Mumbai to watch them but the gig was cancelled. I was literally wallowing in self pity when I heard they are performing in Bengaluru. I cannot wait to watch them. They are my all time favourite.”
Fans who live in Hyderabad and Chennai are also planning to travel to Bengaluru since it’s closer. Priyamvadha K and her boyfriend are scouting for tickets. “There is no way I will miss this gig. Since I live in Chennai, Bengaluru is a viable option for me. I’m going to book my tickets soon.” Fans are making a beeline to get tickets since they do get sold out fast. In New York and Chicago, 15,000 tickets were sold out in less than ten minues. In Mumbai, 14,000 tickets were sold out in six hours! DJ Shashi says, “They happen to be the top guys now. They are prett much the forerunners of progressive house music and it’s an honour to watch them live. It’s great that India is finally being recognised as a potential concert venue across genres.”
After David Guetta, Flo-Rida and Above&Beyond, SHM will join the list of performers in India. Nachiket Shukla, a student says, “Though Above& Beyond did their 450th show in Bengaluru and now, SHM’s last tour is here, it’s almost iconic in a way. Even if they come to India much later, we must appreciate event management companies for being able to rope them in.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
