Alright folks, that’s enough sunshine and socialising for one year. Let’s get back to the important issues? Will Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon and Amy finally engage in coitus (involuntary shudder)? Will Ducky recover from his heart attack in NCIS and will Meredith and co from Grey’s Anatomy survive the plane crash?

These questions and more will be answered soon enough as the fall season of American television is upon us. Medical student, Kavita Rajendran can’t wait for the season premier of Dexter. “I am curious as to how things would pan out now that Debra knows Dexter is not exactly as squeaky clean as she always thought,” she says.
And the last we heard from the gang in How I Met Your Mother, Barney had proposed to Quinn but he ends up marrying Robin. “I can’t take it anymore. Why can’t they just tell us who the mother is and get it over with already,” complains model Sarah Martin.
Very few of these shows premier on Indian television at the same time as in the US. But ardent viewers have various other unconventional, not entirely legal (okay, let’s call it a gray area) methods to catch up with those that don’t. “Most of the popular shows are up on file-sharing sites almost as soon as each episode is aired there. That’s how I have been watching the past two seasons of The Big Bang Theory,” says marketing executive Devi Vishwanathan.
All you fans of procedural drama, the big ones are back for another innings - NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law & Order, the lot. So that’s more blood, more gruesome murders and more laboratory-related thingamajig. If satire and social commentary is your thing, then The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad will all feature in the new TV guide. And you’ll never guess who’s guest-starring in the season premier of The Simpsons. (Psst… it’s Zooey Deschanel!)
If you are thirsting for some zombie-slaying action, the best of Walking Dead is yet to come with the whole prison takeover drama due this season. And we get to meet The Governer as well as the completely badass katana-wielding Michonne. So what are you going to be watching in the coming months...?

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
