Not only do we see people dressed as zombies during Halloween parties these days, even bikini models have started posing as the un-dead.
The Walking Dead calendar shoot saw models going under the brush to get their zombie look perfect. The zombie calendar concept, which was the brainwave of a South African ad agency, however, received mixed reviews.
LazyGamer.net website wrote, “We love zombie games, zombie mods and zombie movies alike. However, this zombie swimwear calendar completely misunderstood the concept. Instead of looking like they were victims of a zombie attack, it rather looks like they were all in the same car accident. The calendar would be more appropriate if the shots were set in a decayed, post-apocalyptic city, not on a sunny beach.”
“Beaches are meant for serene and sexy pictures. It doesn’t give a horror kind of feeling. When I did a calendar shoot which depicted our Indian season, our background scene and dress matched. It depends on how the photographer wants it,” says model Ashna Mishra. She also feels that “donning a zombie look while wearing a bikini is quite courageous and Indian models are not yet ready for such shoots.”
So till the time we see Indian models as zombies sashaying down the ramp... let’s get this calendar for 2013.
