Where do you get a virtual hug?

A hug means so much when you need one. And you will get one as soon as you log on to thenicestplaceontheinter.net. This website allows people to connect and get virtual hugs from people all over the world. The site is a source of comfort for those feeling lonely or alone.

A virtual hug, however, is a poor cousin of a real one. Child psychologist Dr Shakeela Naidu says, “A real hug has a huge impact on a person. Virtual hugs can be helpful only when you are lonely. Or else it might be creepy to get a hug from an unknown person,” says Shakeela.
Actor Simer Motiani feels when you need somebody to comfort you, websites like thenicestplaceontheinter.net does help. “It doesn’t tell you about your poor life choices or rhetorical skills. It just wants to give you a big Internet hug. When one is away from home, wants to blurt out the bitterness of life, talking to strangers does help. Similarly, receiving a virtual hug is a way to give solace to your mind.”
For youngsters getting connected is the coolest thing. And for them, a hug is a sign of friendship and bonding. “We share a hug or a kiss over Skype when we talk to our friends or family. So, having a website dedicated only for hugs sounds cool. It is fun to see people hugging each other, and that too by persons who are unknown,” says Archita Choudhury, an IT professional.
Professor H. M. Kulshrestha of Indian School of Psychology feels that the concept is a bane rather than a boon. “A real hug increases the ‘bonding’ hormone oxytocin and decreases the risk of heart disease, whereas a virtual hug is not capable of doing so.”

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
