Who owns Chateau Hana?
Born to a Tamil father and a Vietnamese mother, Abdul Aziz whose roots can be traced to Puducherry, moved to Paris and spent many years working in the IT sector. Nearly 20 years later, he had made his money and also developed a taste for fine wine and food. He extensively travelled across France and visited many vineyards.
The leisurely ambience in which he was raised in Puducherry drove him to believe in a relaxing lifestyle and after looking at options in India he settled for a lush vineyard in Argentina. Argentina is said to be the fifth largest wine producer. Aziz today grows Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Bondarda. According to a Latin American Affairs blogger Vishwanathan, “His wine is served in the upscale hotels such as Park Hyatt and in exclusive restaurants and high-end wine shops in Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Cordoba and Rosario.”
