Who is Sharanya Menon?
Art has always been a significant part of her life and Sharanya swears that it’s all thanks to her gene pool. Drawing inspiration from experiences and emotions around her, what started as an experiment ended up being one of her greatest ventures.
High Light offers to brighten up your life with quirky custom made lamps.
Sharanya is eco-conscious and paints on recycled bottles. “I think I have been conscious in my own way in terms of the way I live and always wanted to start something little environment-friendly. We have all seen lamps of different shapes and sizes but I wanted to play with forms that already existed. Not many people appreciate the forms that are available,”she says. According to her, the journey has been amazing. Many times she did question the stand of High Light in the market but thankfully she never gave up. “It has been an amazing experience. I have had the chance to meet and interact with so many people who have been extremely interested in taking High-Light to another level completely.”
Right now she is focusing on the Bacardi NH7 Weekender market in Pune from 2nd - 4th Nov and hopes to take her dreams to soaring heights. Sharanya has always had a fascination for the arts despite being a student of Science. She adds, “I don't know what I would be if not an artist. When I finished school I wanted to be a forensic scientist but through college I realised that my calling was elsewhere.” Brightening up lives certainly seems to be it.
