Why is this ball so extraordinary?
You can control it after you throw it! Playing with the Sphero quite resembles playing with a remote-controlled car, but using way more maneuverability and imagination. Furthermore, you can use it to play specially designed games with the touch of a simple app.
One of the most impressive features about the ball is that it’s capable of reaching speeds of up to 7 feet per second, about 4.8 mph. So if you are rolling it down a long sidewalk or hallway, you’ll have to jog alongside it! Pets won’t be so amused though.
As reported by Wired, it’s a little bit smaller than a baseball, and the toy’s easily spotted multicolored glow is extremely visible in both well-lit areas and during nighttime rolls. On the inside, it’s very similar to a tiny Segway, with two wheels spotted at the inside bottom of its chassis.
Games such as rolling the Sphero to kill zombies that appear out of the floor, or using it to control a beaver that eats cupcakes on the ground, are just some of the other delightful features.
