Why blue’s the colour for Zarine

If there’s one actress who’s enjoying the steady downpour that’s hit the city in the past few days, it’s Zarine Khan. But it isn’t just the considerably cooler climes or the overcast skies that make the season so dear to the actress.

We hear that Zarine has a fondness for all things blue (as is clearly evinced by the outfits she tends to sport, all in different shades of blue at awards ceremonies et al) and whether it’s her clothes, home décor items, the soothing appeal of blue is what she seeks. And the monsoons are dear to her because they remind her of her favourite colour.
The actress confesses that her love for blue can sometimes land her in funny situations. “I went on a shopping trip recently, and when I came home I found that everything I’d purchased was in the colour blue!” Zarine laughs. “Blue is my favourite…but my moods influence the colours I wear.”
If that’s the case then may we assume that Zarine was feeling rather “blue” when she went off on her little shopping expedition. After all, even after the success of Housefull 2, the actress hasn’t signed on any other projects as of now. “Zarine only signs films after she’s discussed them with Salman Khan, and with Salman so busy, there’s been no time to do that,” a friend of Zarine’s told us. “So Zarine’s been taking it easy for a while.”
